MCC hopes to make the world a more compassionate place one person at a time. Using the power of a connected therapeutic relationship and research proven strategies, therapists help people access their healing capacity to face their past and the harmful stories they were given, so they can move forward with compassion and empowerment.
To create a ripple effect in our communities where people who have experienced childhood trauma and religious harm are healing. From there we are all showing up as our authentic selves resulting in a lot more love and a lot less suffering in the world.
We approach our work and each other with openness, curiosity, and kindness assuming the best of each other. We offer each other and ourselves compassion, believing we are all innately worthy.
We strive to always grow in our expertise of trauma- systemic, generational, and individual as well as effective culturally competent care. We continue to expand our knowledge in an attempt to provide the highest quality of care to individuals and the community.
Clinicians strive to be aware of what they're experiencing in order to take the most intentional and vulnerable steps as clinicians, colleagues and human beings. Clinicians recognize they aren't a blank slate therefore we continually do our own work mindfully so we can show up as our authentic selves.
We know that it is not our job to do the work for each other or our clients. Therefore, we meet individuals where they are at and support them by taking the journey of therapy with them at their pace so that they can be empowered to reconnect with their authentic and healed self.
We aim to build a culture of trust by aligning our words and actions, and practicing BRAVING (as coined by Brene' Brown). Trust is earned, not granted, and it is a continual practice we are constantly building, repairing, and rebuilding.
